ADMISSION TO PRIMARY FELLOWSHIP EXAMINATIONS

KINDLY NOTE THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CLEARLY BEFORE APPLYING FOR THE PRIMARY EXAMINATION:

  • COMPULSORY DOCUMENTS FOR PRIMARY REGISTRATION:

1. Full registration certificate with the Medical and Dental Council of your Country (Not provisional certificate nor Annual Practicing License)

2) MBBS Certificate (Not Statement of result)

3) Filled and signed the Certification form.

4) Registration fee of $150.

  • STEPS FOR APPLICATION
  1. Visit the college website at www.wacpcoam.org.
  2. Proceed to the download section and download the primary certification form, fill and sign with the appropriate authority.
  3. Get all your documents listed (1-4 above) ready in PDF format and save them in a folder.
  4. Proceed with your application and follow every instruction step by step until the final SUBMIT BUTTON.

Primary Fellowship Examinations:
The primary examination will hold on Thursday AUGUST 20th, 2026. Applicants are advised to indicate their choice of examination centres in the process of making their ONLINE registration. The examination will be conducted using the Computer Based Test Mode in the following examination centres:

  1. Abuja – Nigeria
  2. Enugu – Nigeria
  3. Ibadan – Nigeria
  4. Accra – Ghana
  5. Banjul – The Gambia
  6. Monrovia – Liberia
  7. Freetown – Sierra Leone

EXAMINATION FEE

1. Primary Examination fee   –   $150  or  ₦195,000.00  or  GHC1,950.00

MODE OF PAYMENT

FEESALL EXAMINATION FEES ARE PAYABLE ELECTRONICALLY
EVIDENCE OF PAYMENTVisit the website www.wacpcoam.org,  click LOGIN and follow the step-by-step procedure for online registration which could be printed as evidence of payment.
APPLICANTS NOT RESIDING IN NIGERIA:  Ghana: Should pay (in the name of West African College of Physicians) into GCB Bank (Korle-Bu Branch) Account No. 1131130009095. The PAY-IN-SLIP should be submitted to the College Office for a UNIQUE PAYMENT CODE which will be needed to complete the ONLINE REGISTRATION.Other Countries: Should start the application process online and pay in USD.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Submitting altered, falsified, or incomplete documents to the West African College of Physicians may be a sufficient cause for the College to apply punitive sanctions per the decision of the Court of Examiners. WACP will report findings of irregular behavior to the Medical & Dental Council of the Country where the candidate practices, to other Postgraduate Medical Colleges in the West African Region, and to any other organization or individual who, in the judgment of WACP, has a legitimate interest in such information.
  2. The code of conduct, including the dress code for the candidates, shall be strictly enforced. All candidates must be appropriately dressed.
  3. The College has a zero-tolerance policy for examination malpractice and misconduct.
  4. Change of Examination Centre after submission of the application form shall not be entertained.
  5. The College reserves the right to change your Exam Centre) depending on logistics.
  6. Physically challenged applicants are advised to apply to the Secretary-General via secgen@wacpcoam.org, stating their disability for logistic purposes to be considered along with the uploaded application form
  7. Deferment of examination after application is not acceptable.
  8. No refund will be offered for NON-ATTENDANCE of examination.
  9. All changes of name, marriage certificate documents, etc., should be uploaded in the OTHERS SECTION when applying.
  10. All applications and payments must be online via the college website at www.wacpcoam.org.

NB: APPLICANTS STAND DISQUALIFIED ONCE HE/SHE DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE COLLEGE AFTER VETTING OF APPLICATION FORMS.
